Hi I have a 4k Apple TV thats 1.5 years old.
And now I have a problem in that the remote seem to have just died

It simply cant control the Apple TV anymore...
The remote is fully charged so no battery issue

Den är fullladdad...
I have tried the following steps:
If your remote is out of battery, misbehaving, or you want to move it to a new Apple TV, you can reset it by doing the following:

  1. Simultaneously press the Menu and Volume Up buttons.
  2. Hold for 2-3 seconds.
  3. Your remote should reset and return to pairing mode
**********************************************'
That did not help at all sadly...
However if I hold down "Menu"+"Microfon" at the same time I can activate/start the Apple TV.
And then I can control the Apple TV with the app in my iPAD.
So the AppleTv in itself seem to work and reacts on commands from the iPad.
However I can not envoke/activate the AppleTV from the iPad app...that I must do from the remote pressing menu+microphone

So does anyone know what this could be caused by?
Is the remote totally broken? Can it be fixed?
Or do I need buy a new remote and if so what are chances of that one working??
Anyone had similar issues??
Best regards Micael

Just out of curiosity, have you tried unplugging the apple tv for a few seconds and letting it restart? When I had a laggy remote, this helped. Might not help you but worth a try.
