Stuck working from home as I am, the time has come for an external display. I'm currently using a fully spec'd late 2013 15-inch retina MacBook Pro for (currently) general productivity but for photography too. Looking around the internet, it seems 4k over HDMI is a no-go, but that it is possible over Thunderbolt (2, in this case)/DisplayPort. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.
PS My laptop chugs along pretty well most of the time, but it's threatened death a couple of times. Were everything fine, I'd probably go with a more modest display, but I'm hoping to future-proof.
