Hey everybody, I was thinking about buying a new drive and noticed WD are promoting the use of 4k sectors in their new drives, which is supposed to be a more optimized way to store things. They specifically note that it is designed for the Mac and W7.

It can only be used when doing a new OS install, and i am wondering how you format the drive to use 4096 sectors.. That is not an option in Disk Utility i believe, so how will the Mac make use of this?

Is it automatic?
