I have a friend at work and he has a drone, he wants to add sound and edit 4k video from the drone on his laptop, can he do this with a MBP?

'A' MacBook Pro, sure... but which one does he have? A current maxed out MBP would do this with no problems whatsoever. If he's doing multiple 4K cameras, then it will still be able to cope, but not as well as an iMac Pro can.

Drones and a bit of audio isn't all that taxing... my 2011 17" MacBook Pro could handle that using Proxy media... so whatever he has, it's possible... but more info is needed.

There's a dedicated digital video forum here at macrumors.
I suggest your friend create an account of his own, then go there and read up... ;)
