I'm looking for a widescreen monitor, at least 27 inches but I don't really need an ultra wide gaming monitor or anything. I used to really like HP monitors especially the w2207 as they were well made and best of all they had a nice glossy glassy looking finish on the front. In my opinion these types of monitors have the best visual output. Matte screens just look very dull to me and the displays look very cheap.

I see that Dell and LG are making so headway lately in the monitor dept but in the past I always preferred HP and Samsung. Is Samsung no longer the frontrunner in the display business?

I'm looking to buy a used one too so my budget is $250 max. What do you suggest? I mosty do video editing. Thanks for looking.

My comp is a 5,1

Could you translate which Mac you have and what year it was made?

Do you want 4k or "regular"?

I'd suggest a 27" display of standard dimensions.

Or possibly a 32" display if you don't mind 1440p.

I want 4k I'm going to be editing 4k footage.

27 might be a little too small.

It needs to be 4k.
