I know there are issues but anyone know whats going on here....

I use a Samsung 4K TV Q60 43" and it worked great with my previous 16" MacBook Pro and also my Windows machine.

Plugging in the HDMI 2.1 cable I used on windows results in a washed out image and fonts not being very sharp at 4K 60Hz (seems to be a known issue).

I got this cable:

Everything is much sharper now via USB-C to HDMI but max refresh is 30Hz.

Anyone tried another cable or do I need a dock like this:

Plugged it in to the next Thunderbolt port and now get 4K 60Hz! Still not a great image, washed out on the icons and oversaturated. Looks to be the RGB and ycbcr issue people are having, what a crazy situation.

"Still not a great image, washed out on the icons and oversaturated."

Have you tried:
1. Open display pref pane
2. Click "color"
3. Hold down the option key and click "calibrate"
4. Follow through to create a new profile?

Tried that thanks. The main issue is that all images look heavily compressed, on windows they are hi res images....
