I was cleaning my iPad tonight and I noticed a small crack in my screen. I've had this iPad 2 for almost a year and this the only damage ever. I'm a little bummed. Will the crack spread; is it easy to repair? :(

if its internal Apple will replace it as defective. (Assuming its in warranty still). If its external or out of warranty, buy the part on ebay and following the replacements from ifixit.com

should cost you about 100$.

Thanks for the reply but I'm not sure what you mean by "internal"?

I went to the apple store and they gave me a new one. :)

Thanks Apple

Unless they see a dent like you had dropped it, them giving you a new device is what they should do. This crack was likely very small and started when your device was assembled but grow over time till you noticed it.

Enjoy!
