4S/3GS iPods Don't Update Music Changes

I have noticed that when I edit my music in iTunes such as changing artist or album titles, the changes don't sync to either of my iPhones when I since. I have to delete the album from the phone and then since once again to sync the music.

Any ideas on whats wrong here? Both are on the latest firmware and OS versions on the Mac/iPhones.
