god sounds like algebra..
so i have a 4s.. and a friend has a samsung GS2.. he has an indicator for H+.. I know we dont..
so we can sit by side and his H+ indicator lights up..
mine just shows the usual 3G..
am i getting H+ too?
More than likely, yes.
Why don't you both do a speedtest and compare results? The FCC mobile broadband speed test app is one. Speedtest.net has an app as well.
color me embarrassed LOL.. why didnt i think of that
ok results.. and i dont know my conversion
Samsung - ping 121 DL 3414 kbps UL 808 kbps
4s - ping 118 DL 5.24 mbps UL 1.14 mbps
ok results.. and i dont know my conversion
Samsung - ping 121 DL 3414 kbps UL 808 kbps
4s - ping 118 DL 5.24 mbps UL 1.14 mbps
Your friend: DL 3.41 mbps
You: DL 5.24 mbps
Your friend: UL 0.81 kbps
You: 1.14 mbps
wow so thats like good right? LOL.. thanks
Those are pretty comparable.
I'd say you're getting the H+ speeds with your 4S.
That's about what I'm getting with my 4S and it's 25 to 50 per cent faster than my iPhone 4 was.......
Your friend: DL 3.41 mbps
You: DL 5.24 mbps
Your friend: UL 0.81 kbps
You: 1.14 mbps
actually, 3414 kbps converts to 3.33 mbps instead of 3.41, and 808 kbps converts to 0.79 mbps (not 0.81 kbps).

Are the AT&T phones still getting the "4G" indicator in a future software update? AT&T speeds blow away Sprint and Verizon. I saw a video of Verizon getting like .9 mbps and a Sprint user told me he averages 1 mbps. I average about 4.5-5 mbps on AT&T.
