4s Jailbreak Progress! Two tweets from Musclenerd

This is awesome. I am dying to tap into the 4s's potential! Patiently waiting is the best and only course, it will be well worth it!

Oh yeah, I missed the iPad 2 stuff too. Looks like they're finally getting to the bottom of this A5 processor.
 
Thought I wouldn't survive without JB on my new 4S but I'm doing ok so far. However, the battery is so completely horrendous I can't imagine how much worse it would be with JB.

It's not that jail breaking destroys the battery...it's just that we can't resist installing all that battery consuming crap on it!

All I want is iBlacklist, Autoresponder and SB Settings.
 
any chance that a jailbreak is just not possible? if you guys had to quantify the percentage that the 4Ss end up being....just.. unjailbreakable! wwhat would it be?

What jailbroken apps/tweaks you guys are looking forward to?

I really miss SBSSettings, Winterboard, Backgrounder, Installous, Activator, 3G Unrestrictor, YourTube, KeyVibrate, MyWii, QuickMp3, NewCOntact, Remove Background and iFile.

I keep seeing people mentioning SBsettings or SBSsettings.... but what exactly is it? I haven't jailbroken anything since my old 1st gen ipod touch, so I'm out of the loop.

In a nut-shell :
Can quickly turn on/off: wifi, AFP. Ssh, 3G/data; respring device, shutdown; aircraft mode and many more

I miss JB :(

allows easy you yo get to tons of settings with a slide of a finger. Reboot, 3G, Airplane respring, reboot, turn on of tethering, Bluetooth, even flashlight tons of options. Without going Into apple settings. Something Apple should have included ago. I'd start researching in stuff now if I were you. Tons of great video's on YouTube. Also search threads here.

Niccccce. I had something like that on my Android, and ever since then I've wondered why Apple doesn't do it. I'm already excited about this JB.... hurry up, musclenerd!

Is jailbreaking alone and using SB Settings battery consuming?

what tweeks or apps do?

SB Settings is really the only reason I want to jailbreak for.
 
The dev team is still releasing new themes and tweaks that are iOS 5 compatible.. as if they continue to see a future in jailbreak devices still. I see hope there. And for the record, my "tethered" iOS5 jailbreak on iPhone 4 would be good enough for me if it's as good as it gets. Never crashes, I "just reboot" for kicks and grins once a week and that's more than I repowered my phone when I was a stock, or an untethered jb on iOS 4..

Main thing I think you should do is keep away from these stealth "battery improvement updates" that don't work.. Apple will probably end up plugging the easiest vulnerabilities by iOS 5.1 certainly. Which is rumored to be coming next week... :)
