iPhone 4s No Service with Gevey Ultra S

Hi there,

I have been using this sim card tray for the last two weeks with no problems. The phone is originally locked with Orange UK who wont let me have to code until i have had the phone for 3 months. Very annoying considering I still have to pay £20 after this period. Until such time I have purchased the above tray which has unlocked the phone to work on the Three network until recently.

Now all i get from the phone is Searching to No Service where it stays. I have tried the process i did when first unlocking putting the activation sim in, copying and then re inserting the three sim card but this hasn't worked.

Ive tried looking at various topics but i cant find the solution to what has happened here. Frustrated that this has worked and now doesn't.

The phone is also jailbroken if this helps. This was done before i even bought the card.

have you tried the SIM in a different phone to see if it still works?

did you restart your phone?

Yes both sims work. Orange sim card tried in the iphone and works. Three sim card tried in brothers Blackberry and works. The phones has been restarted after it stopped working to try a possible fix. But wasn't restarted between it working and not working. It was literally a case of it working on the night then waking up in the morning to No Service.

Reset sim? The package just came with the tray and chip.

However im not changing the sim that i first put in. Also this worked for two weeks. Also the packaging that i got was an original?

The info that came with it was to insert original sim. turn on settings copy sim turn off. Insert new sim turn on will work. Which it did.

a white reset sim should have been included, the price on ebay might be a clue, i suspect you have a fake Gevey Sim.

Still dont understand how it worked for a few weeks then? Also the blister packaging was sealed.

The fake Gevey sim may have failed.

there are a lot of fake Gevey SIMs out there in "official" packaging, Applenberry even warn on their website:

try a grey market IMEI unlock, they are relatively cheap now and it will permanently unlock your phone, try the different threads on page 1 which talk about the IMEI unlock.

For what you paid for your "fake" Gevey and shipping, you could have had an IMEI unlock.

when using the GEVEY ULTRA S Unlock sim card that supports IOS 7 - 7.0.4 (current)
make sure that iphone 4s is currently activated with clean imei(not reported lost/stolen)
and in this case locked to Orange UK, you need to have the 7 digit code found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_country_code

234 33 Orange (UK) EE Operational GSM 1800 / UMTS 2100
234 34 Orange (UK) EE Operational GSM 1800 / UMTS 2100

in this example your 7digit code will be (mnc/mcc) and addzero at the end to complete 7digit array is: 2343300 or 2343400

insert the gevey with the reset card and input 7digit code, once successful insert target sim card and restart iphone. it should be unlock by this time.

lost the white reset sim that came with ultra S

well i have an iphone 4s that is unlocked to verizon usa , i recently traveled to lebanon and want to use the phone here tried to unlock the phone and it didnt work ... and i have lost the white sim that came with the turbo sim ultra S ... what to do in this case ? can i fix the problem without that sim or i get a new one ? P.S can't afford a new one .
