4S photos sideways, videos upside down?

Newly setup 4S, not restored from backup etc.

If I take a picture with the phone in any orientation but upside down / landscape view... meaning the volume buttons are in the bottom left corner, and I then email the photo to myself (Gmail) it's sideways or upside down.

If I shoot a video, and send that to my PC it's also upside down unless viewed with Quicktime... then it's right side up.

Help? lol :confused:
