Any chance the 4S will scratch less than the 4? My 4 looks in a pretty poor state after a year of use (although I do drop it a lot) but my white 4S still looks pristine after 4 days use.

Or is it just a matter of time?

i had the black 4 since the day before it was officially released and it still looked pretty good. had one big scratch on it from my keys or something, but other than that it was pretty nice.

the fact is that it's just a matter of time before they get scratched, unless you do like these gentlemen have previously said and get a case or a skin or an invisible shield.

skins are pretty cool.

i'm wondering if i should get one, myself.

I just put some decent, clear front & back screen protectors on mine just so I don't regret it if I drop it. I see it as a second chance or something. I'm also getting a bumper for it...

Have you considered not dropping it? It's a $650 piece of technology so I tend to be somewhat responsible with mine. Not an impossible task.

Some can not help it. I have friends who drop their phone once a week. I do not understand as I have only dropped my phone once in the last five years!
