4S stoped working

Hi all, I've been using my new iPhone 4S for around 8 days and suddenly its stopped receiving calls/texts as if my network is down, but the signal is fine and it makes calls to other numbers however refuses to make calls to anything beginning with *#.

The same thing happened to my last 4S which I took back for the same reason; anybody have any ideas as to what might be the root of this problem?

Hmm. It seems like you need to go down to the AT&T store. It seems like it is there service, if this is the second iPhone you have had trouble with.
