4S video on the ipad

So is it just me or is it weird that I can't put the video I shoot on my new 4S directly onto the ipad? I have tried using the wifi transfer app but it says that it can't do it.

Anyone know of a way to do this without having to load it onto my mac and then transfer it onto the ipad to see if it will work in some other sort of player?

Even if that works it means I have to upload then download - I want to send directly to the ipad.

I use PhotoSync to transfer video to my computer via WiFi. I think it also supports direct transfer between iOS devices but haven't tried that:

PhotoSync is great I have trasfered tons of pics and vids from my iphones to my ipad 2.

And you can do 1080p footage as well to the ipad?
