4th gen vs 5th gen Apple Airport Extreme

Hello,

I am sure this has been asked but I couldn't find any threads (maybe my searching sucks!).

I am in the market for an Apple Airport Extreme (or Netgear WNDR3800/4500, but I dislike Netgear).

Everyone says that the 5th gen is much more powerful, etc. My house is not very big, consisting of a basement and an upstairs (router is placed in basement). I just want/need a good router with gigabit ethernet ports and a decent WiFi signal, to cover my house.

It seems the 5th gen is much mower powerful at transmitting WiFi signal, but I'm not sure if i'll need that. The 4th I could pick up for much cheaper. Is there any other real benefit for getting the 5th vs the 4th?

As you see, the signal power was improved dramatically - around two times.
This huge improvement should not be ignored! Unless 4th is two times cheaper as well,
you should go for 5th gen (or maybe wait for 6th gen, which should be even better)
