5.1 Analog Speakers through MBP through mini-TOSLINK

So, I'm new to Mac/Apple but a techie. I'm trying to find a way to hook up my analog 5.1 Logitech speakers to my MBP through the TOSLINK connection. The only solutions I've found so far is replacing the speakers with expensive ones like the new Z906's or getting a 5.1 Receiver and hooking in the speakers through there.

I'd like to replace my Win desktop but games is what is holding me back. :) Thanks for any help!
