Can one do Dolby Digital software decoding in VLC? Or is there anything that can do this, maybe via Audio Hijack Pro?

In the Audio MIDI Setup there seem to be only 2 active channels, even if the output is set up for a 6-channel device (no decoder there), and the movie is DD 5.1
