5.1 sound on the PMacs?

I have a set of Logitech Z560's, which are analog 4.1 speakers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they can't be hooked up to the Powermacs in 4.1 mode, just 2.1 right?

Is there a way I can use all four sattelites, besides using a two-to-one mini splitter dongle?

Some sort of amplifier in between that would understand the 5.1 digital output and turn it into analogue for the speakers?
