I am trying to connect some logitech x-540 speakers to my i7 15" MacBook Pro and get the full surround sound not stereo. What adapters would I need?
If possible please add links for the adapters

I'm looking for the parts for this also-- someone please correct me if I am wrong. Apparently you need a special mini-TosLink banana plug adaptor that will allow connecting a standard Toslink-S/PDIF cable. Then, you connect a digital-to-analog breakout adaptor that will connect to three analog plugs for the analog 5.1 system.

Anyone know which parts and pieces will work, and, where to find them?

I have only seen the digital-to-analog box as part of expensive gaming headphones that I don't need.
