.5.2 display issues

so now that ive installed .5.2 it my macbook pro dosent recoignize my 22" DVI LCD it saw its resolution fine under .5.0 and .5.1 but now it dosent, ive tried restarting, ive tried detect displays (which does nothing) i just cant get it to see the display correctly...

and in other news apple has again failed to have windows open on your primary display rather than on the secondary display if thats where you last had them open, a real pain in the butt

How did you fix it? My externals are displaying at internal resolution every time I use clamshell.

well, i transfered primary display back to the internal LCD, unplugged the external, plugged it back in, it restored normal res. then transfered primary control back to it

not sure if itll work next time i try clamshell though...wait why the heck is it called clamshell mode, clamshell is just the name given to the colored ibooks casue they were in the shape of a clamshell...i dont get it
