5 c wont power off

Well I received my 5 c today, I shut it off and 2 minuted later, its on again. Is there a way to rest phone so I can see if that helps before the dreaded genius appt and wait? I know how to hard reset android phones, but no clue with iPhone, any help would be appreciates.

Hold down the sleep and home buttons together to do a hard reset - that often solves problems like this.
