As the title says, I just recently purchased a MBP and everything is going well so far!(Knock on wood:D)
Well today I noticed that my battery was 80% charged and I was at a table and I like to have it plugged in, so I plugged it in. Well it was stuck at 99% for the longest time. Sometime later it went to sleep and the battery went down to 97%??? Any ideas why?

Now it is stuck at 97%. I hope it is nothing to serious. BTW, i searched :D

Apple actually recommends calibrating the battery with a new computer anyway. Think of it this way: you may have had your MBP for five days, but how long was it sitting in a back stockroom somewhere, waiting to get into your hands, during which time the battery's memory may have been skewed...?

just calibrate it and if it still is acting wacky than bring it in.

as for the charge not going past 99% and then dropping to 97% that is normal. Read THIS

Thank you for the quick replies, I will calibrate and then see what happens. Thank you for the links as well, :D
