5 issues - sound, vibrate & photos

Hey all --

So I got my 32GB wonderful white iPhone...

Only issues i'm noticing are I can't open photos without restarting the phone, it shows it pending and taking forever.

Call quality volume is poor! I cant hear people very well w/ the vol. at max.

Reception bar (AT&T) majority of time is at 2 bars and barely increases.

Vibrate feels so weak almost to the point where it barely buzzes.

Are these things viable for replacement or is it common?

If a restore/set up as new doesn't fix the photos issue its a faulty phone.

The only way to know if the bars is normal is if another iPhone 5 on the same network does better.

As far as the call volume, stupid question, but did you take the protective plastic off the phone?

Honestly its sounds like you need a replacement.

1. I compared the iphone 5 to a 4S -- the 4S had better signal than mine.

2. Yes, I took off the protective plastic lol

3. I reset the phone (hard) and the photos starting to work and show up as normal but I had one glitch with it.

4. The vibrate is definitely weaker than normal or expected. (Yes, i've given the fact that its much thinner but, I can barely feel anything)



Note: I will most likely go to the apple store and get a replacement.

You'd be surprised by how many people think their camera is bad due to the back plastic. Don't feel bad, Curiosity rover was taking bad photos of Mars until the lens protector was removed.

I'm in the same boat with this issue.....But honestly I think it is just att's poor coverage....

My phone is always struggling to keep 1-2 bars at work and almost never hits full bars 4g and I live in a main city in Michigan....

I've been getting like 3 1/2 hours usage and 7 hours standby

Makes me wonder if it's the phone or the carrier's service?????

Thing is: Before with my iPhone 4 I had 3 to full bars worth of coverage but now with my 5 majority of the time i'll have 2 then it skips to full bars at random moments.

It could just be a faulty phone in general, given all my existing issues.

Agreed, although I'm starting to think that everyone should make an appointment with an apple store to make sure their device is in good working order.....I probably will haha
