I just opened the box of my brand new white macbook, 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, max hard drive (250GB?). I turned on the power and immediately there was a fast clicking noise as the welcome video played. After the sound stopped, so did the clicking noise.

As I went into the registration, I got my internet to work and then went to register my product. When I tried to type in my email address (which contained a "5"), I was unable to proceed because the 5 key didn't do anything.

Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to call apple support and get a new macbook?

I ordered it online.. does that mean I can take it to the store? Can I still get a custom one?

You should be able to take it back to the store, but I would call your local store just to make sure. Your ability to get the specs you want depends on the stock of that store. Maybe they will trade up for you?

Step 1: Take it back to the store immediately.

Step 2: Rush back to your store, pry your Mac out of their hands, and turn off "Mouse Keys" in the Universal Access control panel.

Step 3: ????
