Hi all,

I've got a 13mini and SE(3rd generation) and like to charge them slowly with the 5 W power supply (original Apple) [which is also very handy, since small, for traveling]. I think it's better for the battery.

However, since recently the charging does not start frequently (iPhone does not 'beep'), sometimes it will get up after 30 sec. but many times not at all.

However, using that same cable but plugged via M2 MacBookPro's (and an adapter between the USB-C slot and the old USB of the cable) the iPhones get charged immediately (and beep, accordingly).

I know the charger itself is fine (other phones get power and are charged).

Thus, I am tempted to have to assume that the iPhones suddenly require more power/electricity to enable the charging circuit. Could this be? To me it 'feels' this is occurring since about iOS 18.7.

Of course, I have cleaned the Lightning-cable-slot with a wooden toothpick to remove the dust accumulating therein.

Anyone having similar experience?
Or can the Lightning-cable-slot get loose - and can one just turn the two screws on both sides to fix the slot to the frame again?
