Just saw an ad in the new MacWorld. emusic.com is giving away 50 free downloads for registering with them; credit card required.

Fine print reads: Start downloading your FREE MP3s today and take two weeks to decide if you like eMusic. If you're not 100% satisfied simply cancel before your trial period ends and you'll never pay a dime. Keep the 50 FREE MP3s as a gift just for checking out eMusic.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Yeah, I signed up for them a few months ago. The offer is legit, and they don't even make you jump through hoops to cancel. It can be done right from your account should you not like the service.

Their music selection is comprised more-so of independent and less "mainstream" artist than say... iTunes. They have a Mac client that you can get to facilitate your download choices. I ultimately decided not to keep my subscription due to a lack of my "personal" music taste, but others may find it suitable.
