Hi there. I am wondering if I could have your suggestions.

Right now I am using 2x Dell U2417H, now I would like to swtich to: 4K monitor + 2x dell

Below are my random thoughts.
*I want a ~27" monitor to comfortably project two documents side by side.
*I would prefer an IPS monitor (not a TN monitor).
*It would be nice to have HDR to watch netflix and play some games on windows with bootcamp.

My favorities are:
- 27" Philips 276E8VJSB
- 28" Samsung U28R55
- 27" LG 27UL650
- 28" Acer VG280Kbmiipx

I'll be using it mostly to office/work so flicker free is a must!

Suggestion:
You also ought to consider a 32" display running at NATIVE 1440p (QHD) -- 2550x1440.

I've never had any luck with LG. Monitors, TVs, phones, they all crap out long before similar products from Apple and Samsung. If it was me I'd go with Samsung. I also like monitors by AOC but the good ones are all high-end models and probably not worth the money.

Several people I know swear by Dell. The P2719H looks pretty sweet, and for $200.

I've owned 2 LG products (both of which I got free BTW). 1st was a 32" 1080p TV I for free when I purchased a (LG) Nexus 4* via O2 in 2012.

Second was a 55" oled TV I won on the gadget show around 4 years ago.

Both are still going strong and the 32 still receives occasional updates, as does the 55 .

My ownership of the 2 LG items (* 3 if you count the Nexus) have been great. Never had a problem with Samsung devices either (TV & phones).

To keep this thread on track, I recently bought a Dell 2719DC for my 2018 Mini and I can't fault it, so can recommend that. Its not 4k but that's another can of worms I wasn't prepared to open ...... Actually I can fault it.... It would be better if it was 32".

I would highly recommend LG 27UK850W (same screen as 27UL650, but with USB-C connection) if you are looking for 4K/27" monitor. It works perfectly with 2018 mini. Recently I just upgraded to the 34" 5k2k LG 34WK95B, whic I think is just on another level and really great for multi-tasking. I feel that is the one monitor that can replace the 3 monitor setup that you are thinking. Hope this helps.

I have my mini driving two of the LG850 4K monitors and am pretty happy with the setup.

I like the screen quality, the vertical lift/tilt adjustable stand, the bezel size and the range of connections. I dislike that the monitor won’t Horizontally rotate, the speaker quality is tiny and worry hat the white backing on the monitors will yellow over time. (My office is sunny)

For recommendations I’d suggest making sure whatever you buy is VESA compliant and preferably has built in speakers or an audition pass brought so you can hook up multiple devices to it.

You didn't have any problem with Mac waking these monitors?

I had a Mac mini and a Phillips monitor (HD model, I can't remember exactly) via Display Port but I had to return the Mac.

Randomly after turning on the Mac, the screen remained black, only a hard reset of the computer helped.

I tried with and without disk encryption, reset the memory (as per Apple tech support instructions) but eventually gave up while I could.

The one I use as secondary display in a photo oriented workflow: Benq BL2711U.
Gamut is not much larger than sRGB but excellent quality for its price.

This right here. I also have the 27UK850W, and use it with a 2019 MacBook Pro, primarily for “office” work.

I had a bad experience with the only LG product I've bought ... a tv which failed within 2 years, and even a repair place couldn't get parts for it (it was out-of-warranty). It was very good... when it worked. My impression is the LG stuff is very nice when new, but isn't on the "robust" side of things...

I've had GOOD experiences with Samsung (tv), Dell (display), and the current Viewsonic display I'm using...

Up until a month ago I used an LG 27UL850-W (the 650's more expensive sibling) with my Mac mini 2018 at 4K@60Hz resolution (1080p UI resolution). A fine solution for typical office work.

Recently I switched to a Dell S3320DGF QHD 2560x1440p (165Hz FreeSync2) monitor because I am sharing it between my Mac mini 2018 and a new gaming Windows PC.

I moved the LG 4K monitor to my bedroom as a backup.

I'm using a 40" HiSense for mine lol

Black Friday tv, 1080p.

Looks good for what it is and what the Mac Mini is capable of, though looking to get the 5k LG monitor from Apple this holiday.

Only once after an OS update. Unplugged everything, killed the power, hooked it all back and it has worked since then.

I have both monitors hooked up to my work PC and my mini and switch the source on them 3-4 times daily. If anything, the work PC is the one giving me hassle trying to drive them. I run both at 4k native on the mini and needed to switch into pixel doubling on the PC.

...

Thank you for your answer. Perhaps my problem was with the monitor, but I found a few similar problems on the network.
