So I'm thinking of getting a unibody MBP this week, but I just got done installing a 500GB drive in my 2.16Ghz CoreDuo MBP, and installed and tweaked leopard just the way I like.

My question is, if I transplant the 500GB in the new unibody, will I have to re-install leopard? I was running 10.5.6 with all available updates. I know that the new unibodies shipped with a different leopard build. I was hoping to save some time. Thanks

When you move it, you should do an Archive and Install (preserving user settings) and then redo the updates. That way you have all the right drivers.
