500Gb TC HD replcaement

Hey all,

I have a question for you TC owners. I've recently purchased a 500GB TC from a friends for a mere $50. I know that the internal hard disk is 3.5"

I have a 1TB Seagate Freeagent external hard drive and the drive it self is 3.5"

Could I swap the hard disks? Could I take out the 1TB drive from the Seagate drive and put it into my TC? Would I have to reformat the drive?

Has anyone sucessfully replaced their TC internal HD?
