Is there any way of finding out, or does anybody know roughly, how many G4 Cube with the 500MHz CPU upgrade were sold?

I think it was a pretty expensive extra at the time?

I owned one once, but bought it second hand. The only way you could buy one like that was directly through Apple; they were never sold retail at a store. I think it was like a three hundred dollar upgrade, but have no idea really.

you can use every PowerMac G4 AGP/GigabitEthernet Model CPU in the Cube with a little modification and maybe a fan, if you use the Dual 450/500MHz. Do not know in Detail, but there are descriptions on the net (at xlr8yourmac.com for example).

Yeah, I already know they were BTO online at Apple. I managed to get one, I just wondering if it was particularly rare and valuable.

Seeking a Cube!

After years of a long time machead...( I still have me FD/HD and color classic here.:D ). I would love to add a cube with an ADC display to the collection. Would even think of replacing my iLamp G4 with one.

If the case is in pristine condition? Without any cracks? The stock media drive still works? You are looking at a decent price. Upgrades are you candy. For me in the Northern California area I have seen a median price from $200-500 on criags. Being that I have been burned by Ebay more too many times that is the only base line I can give ya.

Optical drive works, and the casing is in good condition. Its got a 120GB HDD and 1.25GB RAM too..

I'm starting to collect certain macs in the hope they will be worth more in the future. So far I've got a original Newton, G4 Cube and 20" iMac G4. I think I might go for a pristine black macbook next.
