So, I got my new MBP today and now I want to move the keychain from the old MBP to the new MBP.

I looked at ~/Library/keychains and found two files:

login.keychain
Microsoft_Intermedia_Certificates

This can't be it? Or?

In any case, I moved these files to the new MBP but everything asks me for passwords and so, this is the reason why I don't think these are the only two files I need.

Any help is much appreciated.

Oh, and I didn't use that migration tool during start up since I don't all the old stuff on my old MBP to be migrated to the new MBP.

Thanks much
Eric

If the keychains aren't working for Safari you need to check the boxes in Safari preferences under "autofill." Specifically the one that says "user names passwords."

When I did mine I believe I dropped the keychain icon from the utilities folder in my old iMac into the utilities folder on my new iMac. It asked me if I wanted to replace it and I accepted.

In case I misunderstood, what are some of the things asking for passwords?
