5100 vs 5200

Hello there,

I will use the computer for photo editing (lightroom + photoshop) as a hobby for now and web/safari/emails/movies(watch).

My main concern is the graphics. What is the difference in real life usage if I don't game or do video editing of the 5100 vs 5200 in the 15inch.

I was thinking getting the 13 inch 1499+16gb and connect it half the time on my dell u2713h. Would this be ok or is it a lot better the 15 inch?

I will also probably run the rmbp screen at it's highest resolution.

I want to keep it for 4-5 years and my current machine is early 2008 2.5 c2d mbp with 4gb of ram.

You might notice a small difference when working with very large images in Photoshop or Lightroom. But for the other tasks you list there will be no noticeable difference (e.g. in surfing the internet). Personally I would get the 13inch or a refurbished 15inch from Apple which is $1599.

12 meg raws are not that big. Go with what ever your budget will allow.
