Depends on a bunch of factors. For instance, if they used higher density chips or more chips. More chips usually equals faster because there are more chips to use in parallel.

If I had to guess though, it's probably higher density chips...so same performance as 512. I'd guess though that they're using the same drives as in the new imac, so that would be a good question to ask on their form.
 
The 1TB may be faster... or it might actually be slower and lower IOPS.

In either case, it'll be faster than you'll notice (unless you're benchmarking).
