512 vs 1024 PCIe SSD Performance?

Does anyone know if there's any performance benefit between the 512 vs 1024 PCIe SSD?
Usually higher density SSD's offer better performance, but it depends on the controller(s).

Depends on a bunch of factors. For instance, if they used higher density chips or more chips. More chips usually equals faster because there are more chips to use in parallel.

If I had to guess though, it's probably higher density chips...so same performance as 512. I'd guess though that they're using the same drives as in the new imac, so that would be a good question to ask on their form.

The 1TB may be faster... or it might actually be slower and lower IOPS.

In either case, it'll be faster than you'll notice (unless you're benchmarking).
