hi guys,

I’m on the fence on what i should get to video edit, retouch photos and produce music. All my macs clunked out on me and all I’m left with is my 256 10.5 iPad Pro for video editing or photo editing. I haven’t been able to replicate my workflow on my macs but with the pencil and the speed of the iPad Pro I’m excited about working on it.. Do you guys think i should get a mac for Lightroom and photoshop editing, and FCPx or can i get by professionally with a iPad Pro....

Thanks

They are just tools, some save you time and provide more special effects, indexing, and editing features. But if you don't use them then they are of no benefit and cost some $$.

I've used both an iPad Pro and FCPX on a couple desktops and laptops. The iPad pro leaves me dissatisfied/frustrated as I use some of the time saving and helpful features of FCPX and I miss them... but you may not.

For photos, I think the large screen iPad pro is pretty good, however. I think you can get pixelmator on the ipad iOS, which I like for photo retouch and editing on the laptop.
