i'm going to buy a 512MB chip for my ibook, but I had heard that after a firmware update that some chips may not be reconized.. has anyone had this problem using generic RAM chips.. or.. what kind of 512MB chip is in your ibook 500mhz.. i'd rather buy one that works, rather than one that won't be reconized... any help?

Ramjet has always been good to me. Apple(apple sales rep told me about them) backs their ram. They may have higher prices then others, but the speed is always what you ask for.
