This is crazy.

I went through my music selections and copied all of the music tracks into a playlist called 'Just Music', and then wiped my iPod cLassic, and selected that playlist to dump on it.

Well, after the synch, it's 53 tracks short when comparing the number in the playlist versus the number that synched!

FIFTY THREE! Not 52, and not 54, but 53!

No, seriously, there are no error messages, no warnings of any kind, and the cLassic hasn't run out of space, it just WILL NOT SYNCH THOSE 53 TRACKS!

And I can't seem to find out what the 53 tracks are! And the number of tracks that did synch are not a number divisible by 10, so I don't think I hit some magic limit.

Anyone with any ideas?

Has this happened to anyone before?

There aren't any videos that are being sent over, there aren't any videos in the playlist, or PDF files or Apple album 'booklets'.

Poss a "rights mgmt" issue.... If you have "OLDER" tracks you purchased on a different computer that isn't authorized to play, that could be it... but you're not getting any error Msgs... so not sure...

I have about 80 tracks that won't sync on my iPhone... but I do get the error msg... I bugs the crap out of me too...

Anyone out there have another idea?

My thought is possible hard drive failure. When my 80 Gig classic went bad, certain groups of songs would not sync. And the thing took forever to sync. It might be worth a shot to run diagnostics or something like that. I hope I am wrong though

Disk Utility says everything is currently okay...

Still puzzled... Printing out the lists to compare. UG!
