I am cleaning up some old stuff that I never use any more and came across my first Laptop. a 5300 .
It was on a display table at a bike show when it got knocked off then hit the ground & broke the lid near the hinges.
It still powers up but the lid can not be lifted far enough to see the screen properly.
It is free to any one who wants it.
Comes with an external Iomega SCSI zip drive + some brand new Zips , cables including a SCSI adapter , 3 PCMIA cards & car charger .
sort of thing that will be a good donor or a repair project .
I am in Sydney Australia .
Can not remember what is on the hard drive but from memory I had installed a bigger one + more ram .
Has not been touched since around 2005 when we used it mostly as a portable photo display.
Free to pick up, can deliver for fuel cost or will post at cost to the receiver

It there a buy sell & swap section here that I have not been able to locate ?

Thanks
I never read the market place rules when I stumbled across this forum a week ago.
As such I am not eligible to access it for quite some time and as I only really came here for help with my G5 I doubt I will ever get to 250 posts.
The purpose of being here was not to flog off my old stuff and I really never thought about doing so till I posted in the new members gear section & mentioned that there was some old gear I did not want any more which looks like it has found a home that will appreciate it .
Not trying to sell anything I just have problems with throwing out technology that some one else can use .
Previously I used to pass my gear over to a charity that passed them on to those who needed them but this computer is so old it is of little educational value.

I did not see a delete option when I just checked the post after finding out I was breeching the forum rule.
Appologies for that .

Thanks COE for that link.
Never knew there were so many old mac groups
Right now we are in peak motorcycle season so computers will just have to wait but I just have to let a lot of stuff go that I will never get around to fixing .
I rather liked this site but the retrictions on trading seem a just a bit excessive
I am on around 30 motorcycle forums and would be lucky to make more than 100 posts to any of them including the ones I run or moderate .
