If you spend more time trying to get your computer to work and less time doing what you want, it’s time to get a Mac. Because Apple makes both the software and the hardware, everything works together, just as it should. That’s why people who get a Mac love a Mac. And why you will, too.

Well I DO love my Mac, but it's not hardly made by Mac. The processor is intel, the CD drive is phillips (?), the hard drive is "?" (mine has Hitachi), and so on...... I remember the screen is made by someone like phillips, but don't recall if it is them. As I remember it, majorily the entire thing is outsourced.

You say ALL but I don't see where Apple says or ever heard Apple say ALL. Please post where Apple says they make ALL their hardware.

pfft just like every other OEM out there like Dell, HP, Alienware they design the whole computer i.e. exterior, dimensions, screen size etc. and then use parts made by third party manufacturers to fit their taylored design. except Apple is very unique in they actually engineer the operating system around their parts and so have complete control over of the drivers which it turn makes the OS more stable.

The same way if you make a cake, you didn't grow the wheat to grind the flour, and you didn't press the sugarcane yourself. You could say that you outsourced almost your whole cake, except for the mixing and the baking of it.

Yea, like others have said, apple does quite a bit of advertising and they do design basically all of the laptop, logicboards, cases and chipsets are often unique to apple.

@richthomas, often these OEMs buy their PCs from ODMs like Clevo/Sager (lots of alienwares are this) compal and some other companies, modify the external cases to a degree and sell that. Though some laptops like the xps m1x30 series are quite unique.

OMG, I just realized that neither Ford, GM, Mercedes, Toyota..etc really makes cars.

Hell, Boeing doesnt really make planes..

What is going on here?????
