"It’s more than 7-feet tall. Weighs over 500 pounds and walked upright -- three "Bigfoot" seekers, including a Redwood City man, Wednesday claimed they have proof that they have found the body of the elusive creature in the wilds of Georgia.
And on Friday, at a news conference in Palo Alto, they say they will present DNA evidence to prove the carcass of “Rickmat” is that of a bigfoot."

I live in the northwest US where bigfoot is supposed to roam and in all my years of camping etc. I've never seen any signs of it and I'm taking a neutral view.

However the possibility does exist. I'll wait till that news conference Friday to see.
 
I allways thought some of these folks were telling the truth. It will be pretty amazing to find out a gigantic creature like this could stay hiding in present day North America. A lot of scientist will be eating Crow. But then how can you discover something in the wild when sitting behind a desk at some university.

Next up is The UFO's. Its time for the truth.:)

No animal of the supposed size of bigfoot has ever managed to avoid discovery by science in as heavily populated an area as the Pacific northwest. Sure, we are finding new species of rodent in remote parts of New Guinea etc., but if Bigfoot proved to be real it would be totally unprecedented.

I know it's funny and all but the possibility does exist and I'm willing to give these guys a chance to prove it. Otherwise it's just another sensationalist story.
 
I'll hold judgement until Friday. I'm going to assume they don't deliver. Isn't this how the story always goes with Bigfoot?

Well if that picture is of the "creature" it's certainly not a bear or any other known indigenous animal.

That leaves out everything except:

- hoax
- real thing

On the basis of the 50 or so years of Sasquatch history, I lean towards hoax.
Let's face, it all the other cases so far have been hoaxes. :)

Pretty cool though. :D
Means UFO reports will rise in about 3 to 4 years.
 
Saying that in the PNW something has Illuded discovery isn't really an argument, since DB Cooper was able to disappear in the same area. An interesting thing about the NW, is that most of the population is in the cities, once you get outside, there is almost no one.

But on a serious note, how the heck are they going to prove it's Bigfoot from DNA evidence? The difference between human DNA and Chimpanzee DNA is less than 1%. The DNA won't prove squat.
 
I just spoke on the phone with Tom Biscardi, the bigfoot hunter here in the US.

He says they are keeping the carcass away from the public eye in a non disclosed place while scientist go over it with a fine tooth comb. He has been bombarded with phone calls and the like and was very anxious because he said he's seen it, It's real and they want to show the carcass but it's in the hands of a lot of anthropologist, paleontologist and other scientists. They do not want to remove it from the location until the tests are completed.

The guy really seems to believe this..

I'll wait till Friday to pass judgement.

Oh. They will have independent scientist at the press conference.
 
Just plain BS to get hits on website so they can make some money before disappearing.

"current DNA and photo evidence" will be presented.
If they have the body, bring out the body. We don't need fake photos and chimp DNA.

Actually they'll probably say Elvis stole the body.
 
I'm not so sure its a hoax I mean it could very well happen, anything is really possible. However, I do want to see a body or something like that for the real deal supposedly this Friday.
 
living in the northwest and growing up in a forest outside of seattle.. i always believed in bigfoot and was terrified that one day it would show up in my backyard haha. im really hopeful that this is real.. but wtf why georgia haha bigfoot is supposed to live up here!
