So my iPhone 3G that was purchased on July 27 appears to be going dull on the back corner. The finish is fading, making the shine disappear. It looks like crap, even the chrome in that area appears to be suffering. (That may be just from scratches though)
Is there anything Apple or I can do about this? I attached pics.
Thanks in advance...

My black iPhone is doing the exact same thing on the corners. I treat it really well, but it does live in my pocket all day. I refuse to get a case. It sucks that the finish is rubbing off, but at least the color is still the same underneath.

Does this surprise you? The plastic used on the back of these iPhones is crap. It's too bad they didn't keep the aluminum back.

Oh well, at least it's not as bad as the chrome in back of the iPods lol :D (however close)

Very true. I'm sure it's more noticeable on the black iPhones. I have a case but don't use it as it adds too much bulk and that only masks the issue.
