when i try to import a file with this resolution i get an error, and another mpeg with 720x576 resolution imports just fine so i'm guessing that's the problem

is there a way to get around this, somehow trick the program into importing it maybe, i dunno?

or will i have to re-encode the file to normal size? i tried this and got a file that was ok quality but stupidly big, and another file which was the same size but rubbish quality

The best thing to do is to drop that in to an SD timeline in Final Cut Pro and scale it up (or leave it letterboxed all around) and put that into DVDSP.

What DVD player are you going to use that's capable of showing this resolution?

a sony rg120 something or other, something along those lines

but the point is i burnt a disc of the smashing pumpkins at rock am ring which was in this format and it played that just fine

i don't want to re-encode the video preferably
