I purchased a Ikea Signum Cable manager about a week ago, they cost $10 so they're really reasonable.

I finally got around to setting it up tonight. It took around 10 minutes, with the help of my dad, to put in, we drilled two pilot holes and then put the screws which made it easier. Anyway after a while putting my wires into the rack, the wires were basically all gone from view.

I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants to get rid of wires from there setup for a more clean look.

Nice work...I really need a new desk, it cant do any work with it when my MBP is sitting there. I will definitely buy this!

thanks! I love my desk, I got it from room and board, it's basically just a 60"x30" piece of cherry butcherblock with metel legs. Here's a link.

i like cable wraps or simple twist ties for those extra wires that snake to the power supplies.

i might have to get one of those, i've got a ton of wires and power blocks under my desk right now and that'd be a big difference.

yes, it makes an amazing difference, I only wish I had another place for the subwoofer and the outlets were up higher.

Very nice products both of you and very nice work op. Thanks for the recommendations. Though every belkin product ive had always failed me,but im sure theres an imposter out there:D;)

"Signum Cable Manager".... fancy name for a wire rack lol. I'll post my cable management as soon as I get my new setup complete.

Also, this thread is a couple months old which we just dug up...

is there any other way to attach the signum without drilling holes?

I have a glass desk but would to be able to use that

Probably not ideal for a glass desk but I have the Signum attached to my wooden desk with duct tape (def a good amount of tape) and it's been holding all my wires for the last 2 years and still just as sturdy as day one.

The problem with bunching up cables like that is that you can get quite some interference, especially if there are a lot of power cables and adaptors.
I have several of my cables nailed to the wall parallel with a one inch gap between them, because I did get interference when recording audio.

I've solved much of my cable mess with putting a computer in the closet, hooking up peripherals to it instead. Accessing it thru 1GB ethernet.
