iPhone 3g battery indicator jumping from full to 10%

I'm on Rogers in Canada with a fairly new iPhone (1 week) - I've read a lot about other battery issues (I don't have any of those) but haven't seen anyone report on this one - my battery life seems fine, but this last charge cycle the indicator seemed to stick on 'full' for a long time after the charge, well after it should be. I didn't think much except 'yay' but then it all of a sudden jumped down to 10%!

Just curious if anyone else has seen this. Quite annoying.

im having the same problem, plus sometimes my battery is dead and when I put it to charge to 2 minutes after that it says that is full. Usually resolve by doing a hard reset. But this is so annoying. Anybody else???
