32gb, estimates please

OK, I have about 25 gigs of iTunes content, and my wife just game me the go ahead to replace my day1 iPhone. I want 3G, and the GPS is great, but I really want to put all my music on the phone.
Does anyone have an EDUCATED guess as to when the memory will be upgraded? I really hope its prior to Christmas...
 
plus, is 32gb really going to be enough?
that only leaves 7gb for the system software, calendar items, any photos you take, photos you attach to your contacts, ringtones, videos you might want to load, apps you download from the apps store, etc etc
 
I think next summer, but it would be cool if it had been July 11th, 2008. :)

And how about some color choices like the Nano? I want a Silver iPhone 3G. :)

well with the smaller one currently being 8GB i'd venture a guess that 7GB for all other stuff will be plenty... :)
 
From my view, absolutely no earlier than MWSF '09, but even not likely then, we are probably looking at a quiet upgrade to 32 GB in late-February or early-March, similar in time and style like the upgrade to 16 GB was last year. I do not see the iPod touch being upgraded to 64 GB until then either.

I agree! And my guess is that the new iPhone will only come after the second half of the year since the first half we'll be too busy looking at Snow Leopard!

you need your wifes approval to spend YOUR money that YOU worked for and are kind enough to share with her?

I pity you
 
just manually sync your music, I doubt you can listen to all 25 gigs in one day anyways, just make playlists and sync them to your phone. If you want all your music, carry your ipod its really not that big of a hassle to switch.
 
probably will have black and white options just like the 16GB.
but maybe a PRODUCT(RED)?
who knows?
