Its pretty obvious that was just a load of spares taken from broken laptops....
For starters there isn't a motherboard in there, there's no hard disk and no battery.
He probably buys broken laptops and takes the working parts to fix another half broken laptop and that was just the leftovers.

there was a motherboard in there... lol it was just missing the hard drive, ram, superdrive, and battery.
I feel stupid for thinking Axe meant guitar and there would've been a question about garageband or logic or something...
