As signified by my other thread - I just got a GTX 680 and upon some trouble shooting I was doing, I swapped the 5770 back in for a bit, and during the boot of 10.10.4 Yosemite, there was just a VERY brief bit of an artifact when the bar was loading before the desktop, and then it was fine - during heavy gaming no artifacts showed up at all.

I also then restarted the Mac with the 5770 installed, and no artifacts at all.

I imagine it was just the GPU drivers initializing or something, as this was the first and last time it ever did this. But I thought I'd ask here to triple check so I don't sell someone a faulty card.

Thanks

It's likely to be nothing. I've had cards (both PC/Mac) do things like that for years. Sometimes it happens, other times not. I'm not really sure of the cause, but never was there a hardware failure. I wouldn't worry about it.
