You're better off buying one of the Eye Fi SD cards. It will give you storage plus WiFi capabilities. I bought a Nikon P2 mostly for its WiFi capability and Nikon abandoned me when Leopard came out. The camera still works, but I now have to transfer the photos via USB.

I don't think you understand what he wants.

Now it's time to be more specific ;)

Are you looking for wireless photo camera (you just got an answer above), wireless camera for chat or for surveillance?

there are many manufacturers that make wireless cameras, but I've tested only 3 of them: Linksys, Dlink and Panasonic.

all of them have software design for PC computers only. But wait. Some of wireless cameras are also called "network cameras" - they have an IP server built in. it simply means that you can access them on a separate port of your IP address without computer on. You can have them setup also to send you an alert with picture via email or access them via cellular phone!

To have an option of recording a video on Mac you need to have a separate software: EvoCam comes to mind as a most popular one with huge database of cameras.

Dlink http://www.dlink.com/products/category.asp?cid=60&sec=0 I used 5300 series camera. It was great on PC computer. on MAC live view worked only under Internet Explorer (even Firefox with IE extension didn't worked)

Linksys http://www.dlink.com/products/category.asp?cid=60&sec=0

was much better on MAC - Live view was working on Safari but camera isn't good for dark rooms.

the best camera I used so far is a Panasonic one http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-.../PetCams.list.84502_11002_7000000000000005702 it has an enhanced dark vision mode and is most customizable out of the three.
here is a link to the more expensive ones http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-...-Cameras.list.84503_11002_7000000000000005702 some of them allow to record pictures/video on SD memory card - no computer required

Remember that the cameras under $300 have the highest resolution of 640x480 or less and some of them doesn't allow 30 fps on the highest resolution. And remember that when buying a camera you will need buy a separate software for your MAC such as EvoCam:http://www.evological.com/evocam.html

Thanks for your reply buddy,
I looked around earlier this afternoon and I guess I will go with this one

Thanks for EvoCam suggestion too, it looks like a good software.

Have a good 1!

Thanks guys

PS it is never too late ;)

What's funny is I saw this post after I had a slight run in with some neighborhood stalkers. FYI, I saw a car drive through our cul-de-sac 3 times one night, each time with lights off and one time someone got out and then darted back in when they saw me at the window. We found out later there have been some gas siphoning going on so that's probably what they were up to. Regardless I stayed up till 330am waiting and watching (I have a lot of patience) so I too was in a market for mac compatible cameras.

I was going to go with the house brand x10 camera setup and just hook it up to the TV but I prefer the ability to monitor from one of my Macs.

I'll be looking into a wireless camera as well that's when I found the link I posted.

I hope that you will post short review after you will receive it.
I saw Axis cameras also but went with Panasonic one at this time http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-...Cams/model.BL-C131A_11002_7000000000000005702
I need an ability to pan (control the camera to look around the room).
I bought it on eBay for $100 less than MSRP. actually I've paid $190 for it brand new from a private seller. There is also a company on eBay selling refurbished cameras for similar price.
