I'm using a 2010 Mac Pro connected to 24" HP monitors. I bought two HDMI to MDP cables off of Monoprice.com, one a 6ft and one a 10ft. The issue is that one monitor will start to sleep then cycle waking and sleeping over and over again. The other monitor just stays on showing the desktop.

When I unplug one MDP and use an HMDI to DVI then everything works fine, both monitors sleep. I'd really like to be using both MDP as I'll be getting a third monitor that will use the DVI.

I've messed around with the energy settings and turning off sleep HD and wake to ethernet and nothing seems to help. Do you think this is a cable or video card issue? I'm also suspect of the cable lengths being different.

Thanks!
