sleeves that fit the new macbook, like actually fit?

I need a new sleeve for my new macbook - (13 inch aluminum)

i've been thinking about the incase cushiony one but the reviews say that the sleeve is a tad loose and scratches the aluminum with the zipper.

do any of you know any good sleeves out there that actually fit the new macbook aluminum?

Perfect if it had handles! A sleeve is all I use to carry, so handles are important to me.

To the OP, I can confirm the new 13" MB swims in the InCase sleeve, although it is nice and I may buy one till I find one I like better.

I had seen reports of zippers leaving black marks but not sure which case they were talking about, the one with handles or the one without. I tried the one with handles

This one looks like it is the size and has the features I'd like (though I don't need to carry cables). Anyone know of the quality of Pinder? http://www.pinderbags.com/macbook_13_cases.html

I'm not sure if you've seen their products yet, but I'd check out Booq: http://www.booqbags.com. Their stuff is second to none in quality, and I can't recommend them enough. They're a little pricy, but build quality and style is fantastic. I just picked up an aluminum MacBook while I'm back in Pennsylvania for the weekend, and I found my Vyper MacBook sleeve that I thought was lost. On top of the new laptop, finding this just made my weekend.

Also, if you're not into Booq's style (or price), check out Waterfield Designs: http://sfbags.com. They've got some great stuff that's top notch as far as quality and style goes.

I have a Booq for my PB G4 & have really loved it.
I just picked up the new Macbook & have been eyeing a Booq sleeve for that one as well; unfortunately, the thin sleeve ("Taipan skin") is currently showing as shipping in late November!

The reviews are wrong. I bought a new incase cushy one with my macbook and it fits nicely. The zipper will only scratch it if you put it in carelessly. The incase case is the best for portability in a backpack.
 
I think I found the problem with the case I tried, it may have been for a 15" MPB.

Is is the case with handles (InCase). I just looked on their site and they are not showing one with handles in the MB line. So either they discontinued one or it was a 15" with a 13" tag on it. It was the only 13" one they had to try (if it were even a 13")

I read a great suggestion here on Macrumors to check out discount stores like TJ Maxx & Marshall's.
I visited Marshall's yesterday & found a Timbuk2 Classic Sleeve for $15! For the purpose I want, it's great. Fits the MB reasonably well & is very nicely padded, so great to throw in another bag for carrying.

My one complaint is that there isn't a top handle, but for $15, I'm not going to argue! The InCase at the Apple Store was $30 & the Timbuk2 is vastly superior.

If you have those options available to you, it's worth checking out.

In that case, it's a bag, not a sleeve. ;)

I'm using a cheap $15 one from Target. It's definitely too large, as it can hold up to a 15.4" laptop. But since I'm throwing it into another bag, it serves its purpose of padding just fine.
 
How about considering Tucano's MB sleeve? It has a fair amount of cushioning along with an elastic band that wraps around the inside lining so that it will stay put inside. Plus, the material inside feels just as soft as micro-fiber cloth. On the cosmetic side, I found it to be a perfect match with the bright gray color inside (I have the black sleeve). This sleeve will especially come in handy if you carry a laptop backpack like those made by Swiss Gear. Shop around on Amazon or eBay for this one though. It's way cheaper than Incase anywhere, I might add. ;)

Have to second the Tucano. I had a Tucano for my 12" Powerbook, and I bought another Tucano for my unibody Macbook which arrived yesterday. It fits perfectly snug, although it was designed for the older Macbook which was slightly thicker. It has a flap inside that protects the Macbook body from the zipper, so there's no way you could scratch the Macbook with the zipper unless you are extremely careless. The only problem is that the word "polycarbonate" is printed on the outside; my Macbook is made of aluminium, and it was the older Macbook's that were made of Polycarbonate.

I know, I was completely surprised by their selection!
My feeling is, if you happen to find something there, it will be a very good price, but there's just no telling what they'll actually have in stock.

Still, I'm going to keep it in mind for future purchases - definitely someplace to stop by & check out!
